Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to continue their winning momentum when they take on Chennai Super Kings in a mouth-watering Indian Premier League (IPL) contest at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk on Tuesday.
Hyderabad have won two matches in a row and will look to add the prized scalp of CSK into their kitty, who are coming into this clash on the back of successive defeats.
The turning wicket of Chepauk will force SRH’s hands and they will have to go in with an extra spinner for this clash. That could see Afghanistan spinner Mohammad Nabi return into the line in place of skipper Kane Williamson.
Earlier in the season, Nabi came into the side to replace injured Williamson and performed exceedingly well for the 2016 champions. In four outing s he has picked seven wickets at an economy rate of 5.49.
As for Williamson, he has been completely out of sorts this term and has scored just 28 runs in four outings. If Williamson is left of this clash, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will as tasked to lead the side, something which he did earlier in the season.
The return of Nabi could also see Manish Pandey also getting a place in the side and he could replace spinner Shahbaz Nadeem to balance the playing XI. The rest of the line-up is expected to be the same with record-breaking pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow opening the innings.
The middle-order is likely to be marshaled by Vijay Shankar, Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan and Manish Pandey. Afghan duo Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi will be the regular spinner for SRH along with a three-pronged bowling attack in Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma and Khaleel Ahmed.
Predicted XI: David Warner, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Vijay Shankar, Deepak Hooda, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed
