CSK are coming into this match on the back of successive defeats, with the latest one coming against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a thrilling encounter in Bengaluru. Hyderabad, on the other hand, are high on confidence after winning two matches in a row.

Despite suffering their third loss of the season in the last outing, CSK will go into this match with a positive frame of mind as they have been in great form at home this season.

As seen in the previous matches, the Chepauk wicket has favoured spinners more and that will force the home side to once again go in with a spin heavy attack.

Shardul Tharkur is likely to be replaced by Harbhajan Singh, who has been in good wicket-taking form this term. In four matches, Harbhajan Singh has picked up seven wickets at an economy rate of 5.12.

The rest of the line-up is likely to be the same with Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis opening the innings followed by Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav.

Skipper MS Dhoni will take up the wicket-taking duty once again while Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo will fill in as all-rounders. Deepak Chahar and Imran Tahir will be joined by Harbhajan Singh as three regular bowlers in the side.

Predicted XI: Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Imran Tahir, Deepak Chahar, Harbhajan Singh
