Two nieces and father of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath Monday attended an employment fair organised by the Uttarakhand government in Haridwar like commoners on job hunt.

Adityanath’s father Anand Singh Bisht said he was there to get the names of his two granddaughters registered for possible government jobs.

Anand Singh Bisht, a retired forest department employee who hails from Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, said his granddaughters, Laxmi Rawat and Archana Bisht are graduates who are job hunting. “I accompanied them to Haridwar so they could register for government jobs,” he said.

Asked if his son knows about his two nieces looking for a job, Bisht said, “Ajay (Adityanath’s real name from before becoming ascetic) knows (that I wouldn’t accept a favour from him.)”

Laxmi said they feel proud that Adityanath was doing a great job in eradicating corruption from Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath , a six-time parliamentarian, hails from Panchur village in Pauri Garhwal district and has done graduation from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University. At the age of 22, he became a disciple of Mahant Avaidyanath of Gorakhpur-based Gorakhnath Peeth.
