2 held for forging document bearing signature of railways minister

The accused have been identified as Thalesetty Sudhakar (41) from Telangana and Ramesh Chandra Joshi (46) from Delhi’s Pitampura.

The Delhi Police have arrested a civil engineer and an ex-serviceman for allegedly duping a man on the pretext of getting him inducted into the ‘Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee’ and giving him a forged certification for the same on a letterhead signed by the Union railways minister.

DCP (New Delhi) Madhur Verma said the forgery came to fore when Vishok Gupta, the assistant security commissioner in the Railway Protection Force, reported that the ministry of railways received a complaint about the misuse of a letterhead with signature of the railways minister on it.

The accused have been identified as Thalesetty Sudhakar (41) from Telangana, a civil engineer who runs his own construction company in Hyderabad and Ramesh Chandra Joshi (46) from Delhi’s Pitampura, an ex-serviceman who had retired as the head constable in 2012 and currently works with a private firm.

DCP (New Delhi) Madhur Verma said the forgery came to fore when Vishok Gupta, the assistant security commissioner in the Railway Protection Force, reported that the ministry of railways received a complaint about the misuse of a letterhead with signature of the railways minister on it.

Gupta also said the letterhead had been used to establish one Mallikarjun Vadla as a member of the zonal railway users consultative committee. The complaint also mentioned that Vadla is in possession of a membership card of the panel.
