A fire broke out in the basement of the Surya Kiran building at KG Marg in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Fire officials said they received a distress call at around 8.35pm about smoke from the basement of the building, following which 10 fire tenders were sent to the spot.

A fire control room official said, “The fire is under control. It looks like the fire started at an air conditioning unit inside a store in the basement. There are no casualties.”
