GURGAON: A three-and-a-half year-old girl student of Lancers International School in Gurgaon was sexually assaulted, allegedly by an outsourced housekeeping staff of the school.

The accused, Yogesh, 32, a resident of Ferozabad district in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by police on Thursday. The victim, police said, is a nursery student.
Police said the accused molested the child when she had gone to the wash room on the afternoon of September 26. She shared the ordeal with her mother who then informed the school.
The mother also filed a complaint at Sushant Lok police station.
Based on the mother’s complaint, police on Wednesday, lodged an FIR under sections 506 (criminal intimidation), 342 (wrongful confinement) and other sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO), Act.
Sources said that the school has terminated its contract with the company from where it had hired the housekeeping staff.
