Sandeep Kumar’s secretary detained for ‘circulating’ clip

NEW DELHI: Former Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar’s private secretary was detained on Monday on the suspicion of circulating a sex clip involving the politician.

NEW DELHI: Former Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar’s private secretary was detained on Monday on the suspicion of circulating a sex clip involving the politician.

The suspect, Praveen Kumar, was taken into custody from the Delhi secretariat.

“He has been accused of blackmailing the ex-minister and leaking the CD. If found guilty, he may be booked under relevant sections...” a police officer said.

The former women and child welfare minister in the Aam Aadmi Party government told police Praveen had access to his phone and laptop and that is how he got the video and leaked it later.

Sandeep was arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping a woman with whom he was seen in the alleged sex tape. He was sacked last Wednesday after the CD surfaced, containing photographs of him with one woman and a video with another. Women’s panel has summoned AAP spokesperson for his recent blog post in which he had defended Sandeep Kumar in the sex-clip controversy.
