Eleven people died in rain and flood related incidents in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday as parts of the northern region, including the national capital, received light to moderate rains.

In Bihar, where 10 districts are affected by floods, two deaths were reported from Darbhanga and Sitamarhi districts, taking the death toll so far to 16 in the state, officials said.
Flood waters also submerged several villages in Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, West Champaran and Gopalganj districts and rivers like the Kosi and Mahananda are in spate.
In Uttar Pradesh, floods and rains claimed nine lives, including five of a family who were killed in Barabanki district this morning after the wall of their house collapsed due to heavy rains.
Parts of the northern region, including the national capital, received mild to moderate showers which led to a dip in day temperatures, bringing respite to residents.
In Rajasthan, Jaipur recorded the maximum rainfall of 42 mm followed by Bikaner, which recorded 4 mm rainfall till the evening.

Jaipur and Ajmer recorded highs of 36 and 35 degree celsius respectively.
