In the first incident, a 16-year-old was allegedly raped by her friend's brother and his accomplice in east Delhi. The accused also made an MMS of the entire incident. He threatened her not to reveal the incident or he would circulate it.
"The victim kept quiet for a month. But on September 14, she broke down and told her family. But the duo had already begun circulating the MMS," said a senior police officer.
According to police, the victim is a student of class 10 at a local government school. On August 14, she was returning home when the accused offered to take her home to meet his sister. Instead, he drove her to a friend's house in the Trilokpuri where they raped her.
"She was reportedly fed a cold drink laced with sedatives. We are confident of nabbing the two soon," the officer added.
In another incident, a 34-year-old woman was allegedly raped by five persons, including her live-in-partner, in south Delhi's New Friends Colony.
A resident of the DDA flats in Taimur Nagar, the victim claimed that the assailants filmed the entire episode and blackmailed her. They also fled with R5 lakh in cash from her Jamia Nagar residence.
"She was in a live-in relationship with Azhar, who has a criminal record. On September 17, he and his friends offered the woman a soft drink laced with sedatives, after which they raped her," said an officer.
