17-year-old gangraped by classmates, one held

A Class 11 girl was allegedly gangraped by her three classmates in the Bisrakh area. The victim’s parents lodged an FIR, accusing the three boys, on Sunday night. The police have apprehended one of the accused.

“The victim, 17, said that on December 7, three of her classmates, including Gaurav Sharma who has been arrested, took her for a ride in a car. They offered her drink, after consuming which she fell unconscious. They, then, raped her,” said Alok Priyadarshi, DSP.

“Gaurav is the main accused. A manhunt has been launched to nab the two other accused —Ankit and Akash. The victim’s medical examination has been conducted,” said Arun Kumar Singh, SHO, Bisrakh.

"However, the medical report has not confirmed rape. This may be because the test was conducted many days after the incident,” said Priyadarshi.
