The boy admitted at the Delhi government-run Ambedkar Hospital had earlier tested negative but his confirmatory report on Tuesday was positive.

The 66-year-old swine flu positive woman admitted at Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital is not out of danger, said sources in the State health ministry. The woman had to be put on a ventilator after developing respiratory complications late on Sunday.

“She has acute bronchitis, and simply putting her off the ventilator wouldn’t have been safe. We are gradually weaning her off the ventilator,” said a doctor treating her, who did not wish to be named, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.

The Capital had two other confirmed cases, a 58-year-old woman who travelled from USA to New Delhi in an Emirates Flight and a 23-year-old woman who had travelled from Canada to New Delhi on Jet Airways.
