To augment healthcare facilities at the local level, the Delhi government on Saturday announced launching of nine health centres across the city.

Delhi health minister AK Walia said land has been acquired for another six health centres, while the city government has approached the DDA seeking land for constructing another 24 centres.

Laying the foundation stone for a health centre in Pandav Nagar in east Delhi, he said the centre will be constructed in a record five months and will be built at a cost of Rs 54 lakh. PTI
