Those working in the area have contacted everyone from the municipal councillor to the chief minister but there seems to be no end to the problem.

"The roads here have been in this pathetic shape since the time I joined the office here two years back," said Manish Kumar, who works in a software firm in Okhla Phase II.

People say that the MCD did begin repairing the roads a year-and-a-half back, but it left the project midway.

"In many parts, they did not complete the dense carpeting. As a result, stones still jut out, damaging our cars," said Shiv Sachdeva, a resident here.

Ironically, the Ma Anandmayee Marg, which leads to the industrial area, was repaired and blacktopped many times over.
