‘Accidental’ firing injures constable

A Delhi police constable was injured when a colleague’s rifle went off accidentally at Qutub Minar on Saturday night. The police said a gun shot was heard around 8pm when constable Jagdev and constable Anil were in a PCR van.

“Head constable Niranjan Lal, posted with the same PCR, rushed to spot. He found that Anil had been shot in the hip,” an senior officer said. Anil is critical.
