After experiencing days of below normal temperature and icy winds, Delhiites finally got the chance to bask in the sun as the maximum temperature jumped up to a comfortable level.

The maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 22.7 degree Celsius, one degree above normal and up from Sunday’s maximum of 18 degrees.

The morning, however, was chilly as icy winds blew across the city and minimum temperature dropped to 5.6 degree Celsius, two degrees below normal. Fog did not trouble citizens for the third consecutive day.

The weather may remain similar for the coming three days with the weatherman predicting the temperature to oscillate between 20 and 6 degree Celsius.
However, shallow fog can be expected in the morning.

“The temperature has gone up as the Western disturbance, that brought snow to the hills of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, has passed. The day-time temperature will hover around 21 degrees for the coming three days,” said a MeT official.
