Part of a grade separator project, which includes a flyover, an underpass and a rotary on ground level, the flyover has some part of it on the other side of the Delhi border and some on Delhi.

The six-lane and 860-metre long flyover has been constructed on one of the busiest and congested traffic intersections between Delhi and Ghaziabad.

The opening of the flyover is expected to ease traffic movement on this intersection to a great extent.

“A huge volume of traffic on this stretch is interstate traffic, especially commercial vehicles,” said an engineer associated with the project.

The Rs 226-crore grade separator is expected to be completed by May 2010.
