At 41.9°C, Delhiites bear the brunt of summers

The Capital experienced an uncomfortably hot Tuesday as the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.9 degree Celsius at Palam. The average maximum temperature recorded in Delhi was 40.6 degree Celsius, two degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degree Celsius.

However, the MeT department has predicted showers in the coming few days. “The temperature will remain at 41 degree Celsius through the week. Delhiites can also expect partly cloudy sky with a possibility of light rains or thundershowers in some parts of the city, which could bring the temperature down by a couple of degrees over the weekend,” said BP Yadav, director, forecast, IMD.

Despite the increase in the temperature, the heat waves, however, are still keeping away from the Capital and would arrive only in the last week of this month.
