Clearly denying the role of a Uttar Pradesh politician into the attack on present Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) councillor, the UP police crime branch on Saturday cracked the attempt-to-murder case.

The police said that the conspiracy was hatched by a Dasna prison inmate who hired two sharp-shooters to get rid of his political rival to help his brother.
Police on Saturday arrested Vinod Tyagi — a former councillor from Morta — and Manish Tyagi, his relative, and alleged their involvement in the attempt-to-murder case and criminal conspiracy, where BSP councillor Bhrampal Jatav was shot thrice by two sharp-shooters on May 31 at Morta area on NH-58. Jatav managed to survive after critical injuries.
Officials said that Vinod Tyagi’s brother Bhagmal Tyagi, who is presently convicted with life imprisonment in a murder case, hatched the conspiracy from inside the Dasna prison and hired two contract killers for R2 lakh to help his brother get rid of his political rival Bhrampal Jatav.
