You might have some difficulty in finding an auto-rickshaw on Tuesday.

An auto-rickshaw drivers' union has called a one-day strike against the government directive for re-allotment of drivers' badges to them.
According to M.S. Mansoori, general secretary of the Rashtriya Rajdhani Shetra Tin-Pahiya Chalak Union, Delhi government is reissuing temporary driver badges to the three-wheeler drivers for R600.
"We had been given temporary driver badges after we had paid R400 and attended two-day class a few years ago.
The government had promised to replace these with permanent ones. But now the government is again asking us to pay R600 and appear in a fresh test for re-issauance of badges," Mansoori said.
However, most auto-rickshaw unions said they were not part of the strike and their autos would run normally in the city.
"We are not participating in the strike. Delhiites will have no problem commuting on Tuesday," Delhi Auto-Rickshaw Chalak Sangh president Rajendra Soni said.
