Bajrang Dal does its bit

VHP leaders Ashok Singhal and Surendra Kumar Jain announced that the Bajrang Dal would organise block-level Samitis across the country to check terror at the local level, reports Vikas Pathak.

VHP leaders Ashok Singhal and Surendra Kumar Jain on Tuesday announced that the Bajrang Dal would organise block-level Samitis across the country to check terror at the local level.

“We will have retired armed forces personnel and lawyers on these committees. They will provide inputs to security agencies about activities taking place at the local level, if their help is sought,”Jain said.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudi demanded that the Prime Minister clarify whether National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan had not strongly backed the need for an anti-terror law. He also said that the second Administrative Reforms Commission, headed by Congress leader Veerappa Moily, had just advocated a strong law to combat terror.
