Barber tries to kill self at CRPF camp in Jahangirpuri

A 42-year-old barber employed with the CRPF allegedly attempted suicide in the force's camp on Sunday. The police said the man was suffering from depression.

The police said that V. Koram, who had returned from leave two weeks back, allegedly slit his throat with a knife at the CRPF camp in Outer Delhi’s Jahangirpuri. He was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram hospital from where he was shifted to a private hospital. No suicide note was recovered from his possession.

“The reasons behind him taking the extreme step are not clear. His condition is very critical,” said a police officer.
