Party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “The Prime Minister, who is himself an educationist, should explain how he allowed then human resources minister Arjun Singh to run riot by giving recognition to all kinds of fake universities, ignoring the norms set by the University Grants Commission and the technical education board.”

The BJP has sought a probe.
