The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday demanded that the government make a statement on the incursion and subsequent return of Chinese troops from Indian territory in Ladakh.

"The defence or external affairs minister should give a suo motu statement on the actual terms and conditions of restoring the status quo with China, because there are many theories floating around," BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said on Tuesday.
The BJP leader added that the theories included that India has agreed to stop further development of infrastructure in the area, and demolish its bunkers near the border.
He also said that there were unconfirmed reports that China has not vacated all the territory it encroached upon.
"BJP wants that India should continue building a new additional (army) corps for the area," he added.
