"It will come to the house in the budget session after talking to all the parties and considering the amendments given by them. Several bills are pending in the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha and as far as we are concerned we fulfilled our commitment by bringing the bill in the house," Narayanasamy told a TV channel, a day after the Rajya Sabha was adjourned on Thursday midnight leaving the fate of the Lokpal bill in limbo.

Labelling as "bogus" the BJP's allegation that the government choreographed the entire debate in the Rajya Sabha, Narayanasamy said, "Right from the beginning, the BJP's intention was to see that the bill is not passed in parliament… they want to keep it in limbo. It was a BJP-orchestrated drama."

He added that it was not Congress members who disrupted the house but BJP and some other parties.

"In Rajya Sabha when our members are not there we have to take along other party members and it is the duty of all the members to pass the bill but basic amendments which BJP gave are not acceptable to the government," he said.
