Blueline buses killed two people, including a 14-year-old school student, in the past 24 hours. The killer fleet has claimed 16 lives in the city this year.

In the first incident, a speeding bus crushed a student and injured three of his friends at New Ashok Nagar near Mayur Vihar Phase III on Thursday. Sumit Kumar Verma was a Class VIII student of a government school and used to live in Kondli.

They were crossing the road when a Blueline bus on route number 355 plying between Nand Nagri and Hauz Khas hit them. Sumit died on the spot while others three sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were discharged after first-aid," the police said.
The driver fled from the spot.
