Two children were mowed down by rampaging Blueline buses in separate incidents in the last 24 hours in the Capital.

Around 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, five-year-old Khushi Kumari was crushed by a bus while crossing the road near Mayur Vihar Phase-III in east Delhi.
The bus was reportedly speeding and the driver could not apply the brakes on time. Khushi’s head came under the front wheels and she died on the spot.
“The driver fled the scene. An angry mob damaged the bus and demanded the driver be arrested,” said a senior police officer.
Khushi’s relatives did not allow the police to move her body to the mortuary for post mortem at first, but the body was later transferred to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital.
Khushi was a student of MCD Primary School in Mayur Vihar Phase III. She lived with her parents and siblings in Khoda Colony.
In the second incident, another rampaging Blueline bus crushed a three-year old boy on the DBG Road in central Delhi, police said. The accident was reported at 10.30 pm on Tuesday. The boy, Hanuman Kumar, was declared brought dead at a nearby hospital.
Locals thrashed the driver, Dharam Veer, before handing him over to the police.
