Boy commits suicide in Delhi

A 12-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide in the national capital, police said on Tuesday. The Class V student of a government school was found hanging in the bathroom of his residence in Farsh Bazar on Monday by his sister. He used a belt to hang himself.

The Class V student of a government school was found hanging in the bathroom of his residence in Farsh Bazar on Monday by his sister. He used a belt to hang himself.

His parents told police that he returned home after playing in a nearby park and then straight went inside the toilet.

His body was discovered by his elder sister, who informed family members. They informed the police, who took him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

No suicide note was recovered and police is yet to ascertain the reasons behind the boy taking the extreme step.
