A 27-year-old BPO employee was found dead outside Akshardham Metro station on Monday night. The police said the motive behind the killing could be personal enmity as both the mobile phone and wallet of the victim was found intact.
"A passerby made a PCR call informing the police about the body lying near Akshardham flyover at around 11:30 pm. He was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The body had stab injuries," a senior police officer said.

The victim, identified as Rohit Prasad, was working with Infotech in Nehru Place.
"He used to take 10:30 pm bus from his office and get down at Akshardham Metro station. From there his father used to come to pick him. It seems on Monday night he was waiting for his father when he was attacked," the officer added. Rohit was a resident of Mayur Vihar phase III. The police are also scanning footage from of the CCTVs installed outside Akshardham Metro station.
"We are probing the matter from all possible angles and nothing can be ruled out at this point of time," Prabhakar, DCP (east) said. A case of murder has been registered.
