“There is no place for niceties when you have a huge volume to manage.” This was the observation made by an official on the attempts to have flowerbeds on the sides of the BRT corridor. At many places on the stretch, space (almost five feet) has been left for flowerbeds.

“Beautification is good… but only when you have manageable vehicles. The vehicle volume here is simply unmanageable, which makes the flowerbeds, especially near the intersections unnecessary,” said a source.
Sources even suggested that those empty flowerbeds could be done away with for a while.
Those planning the corridor also did not seem to have anticipated a situation where a village or a colony’s traffic merges with the traffic on the main corridor. This has further led to chaos on the stretch, sources said.
