With the Prime Minister's Office agreeing to the proposal, the Cabinet is likely to give its nod tomorrow at its meeting to set up the long-awaited Indian National Defence University (INDU) at Binola village in Gurgaon, Haryana.

This will be the third dedicated defence university in the world after US and China.
"The Cabinet will give its approval to the INDU proposal from the Defence Ministry at the meeting tomorrow," government sources said in New Delhi on Sunday.
Once the cabinet approval for the proposal comes, Haryana government will acquire 200 acres of land on an emergency basis at Binola for the INDU.
"The Haryana government will be applying the emergency clause for the land acquisition," a source said.
The setting up of the university is expected to make Gurgaon, which is already a hub for Information Technology, into a centre for professional strategic affairs and defence expertise, sources said.
INDU would be a fully autonomous institution under a Parliamentary Act on the lines of the universities in the US and China.
