Former Delhi BJP President Vijender Gupta has moved court against chief minister Sheila Dikshit for "spending public money for political purposes".

Gupta said the Lokayukta, in his verdict on 22 May, had said that Dikshit misused R22.56 crore in 2007 - 2008 on advertisements ahead of assembly elections.

The Lokayukta further recommended that Dikshit or the Congress party should deposit R11 crores to the treasury.

His recommendation was sent to the President of India for further action after which he moved court.
