The Central Bureau of Investigation personnel raided a house here on Friday and arrested a man involved in an ISD calls scam in Dehradun.

The man, identified as Shahid Zaidi, hails from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, but was living in Sector 21D here.
CBI officers said Zaidi was an accused in the 2009 multi-crore ISD calls scam at Roorkee telephone exchange of the BSNL.
Sources said the ISD calls to overseas, especially African countries, were made by four residents of Muzaffarnagar who didn't have the facility on their phones. The scam caused BSNL exchequer revenue loss of over Rs. 2.50 crore. The calls were allegedly made in connivance with some BSNL officials in Roorkee, the officers said.
