The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams kicked off smoothly on Wednesday. A total of 2,47,291 students appeared for the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in Delhi. Class 12 students appeared for their Physics paper while the class 10 students took their music paper on day one.

The students who appeared for the Physics paper felt it was very lengthy but much easier than the last two years.

“We went prepared for a very tough paper but it was way easier than we had expected,” said Malvika Gulati, a student of Springdales School, Pusa Road.

“The questions were very direct and there were more theory-based questions rather than application-based ones.”

Students were unhappy with questions that carried as low as two marks comprised two to three sub-parts, which made the paper lengthy.

“We had to rush to finish the paper and some of us could not even finish it. Since there was more stress on theory than numericals, time management was a problem,” said Somashis Hore, a student of Tagore International, East of Kailash.

“A question on direction of current was wrong,” said Jaswinder Singh Virdi, a physics teacher in Delhi Public School, RK Puram.
