While Dr Shikha Rani, the on-duty doctor, was hurt by the impact of the heavy plaster, the patient escaped with slight bruises. The doctor had to be rushed to ESIC hospital, Rohini, where she was admitted. “We rushed to the hospital when we heard a loud thud. The doctor was lying unconscious on the floor, while the patient who had a narrow escape was still in a state of shock,” said Sarita Kumari, a neighbour who rushed to rescue to the victims.
