Savita (name changed), resident of Dayalnagar area, was allegedly raped by Karan, who lives in her locality, when she had left her home around midnight to answer the call of nature.

According to Savita, her neighbour Lalita bundled her inside her own house after making her sniff an intoxicating substance, after which she lost her consciousness. Lalita reportedly handed her over to her tenant Karan who raped her. When Savita regained conscience, she fled the room and narrated the incident to her parents.

“We came to know about the incident on Wednesday and registered a case against Karan and Lalita,” said Ratandeep Bali, SHO Surajkund, adding, that the medical report has confirmed rape.
