Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday approved the colour for 250-odd corporate buses that will run on 32 routes of cluster 1 in south Delhi from next month.

Senior transport officials said the CM inspected the buses and gave her approval. Orange in colour, the buses will have Delhi Transit written on them.

All the buses will be fitted with global positioning system.

While the operator will be paid on the basis of kilometres each bus will do in a day, the transport department will pocket the revenue.

While 50 buses will start running from January, the operator will introduce 100 buses each in February and March, a senior transport department official said.
