Coal block probe stalled

Stalling probe into the coal block allocation through the joint venture route between government companies and private sector, 19 of 20 states have not given any sanction so far to initiate investigations, HT reports.

Stalling probe into the coal block allocation through the joint venture route between government companies and private sector, 19 of 20 states have not given any sanction so far to initiate investigations.

According to CBI sources, Jharkhand is the only state which has given the go ahead start. The CBI had registered a preliminary enquiry last year to probe coal block allocations through joint venture route as well.
