The partly cloudy sky opened up by the afternoon as the city recorded a maximum temperature of 22.8 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year. The minimum temperature was recorded as 13.2 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal.

According to the Weatherman, the high minimum temperature was because of an overcast sky overnight. The coming days, however, are expected to be colder. The minimum temperatures are expected to fall below the 10-degree mark from Sunday onwards.

“While it was not very cold on Friday morning, the icy cold winds that blew throughout the day made it chilly. The winter is a little delayed this year but keeping in mind the snowfall in the hills, I am sure the cold will hit us by next week,” said RK Tyagi, a resident of Saket.
