As part of the Commonwealth festivities, Delhi Tourism has lined up an array of cultural events. Delhi Celebrates, the cultural festival to run alongside the sporting event, will feature films, poetry, theatre and music.

As part of the Commonwealth festivities, Delhi Tourism has lined up an array of cultural events. Delhi Celebrates, the cultural festival to run alongside the sporting event, will feature films, poetry, theatre and music. The musical events will include two parallel series of concerts — the Qutub Festival focusing on a hip, young Indian pop sound and The Delhi Classical music Festival at Kamani Auditorium, for those interested in Hindustani Classical and Carnatic music. Another attraction this fortnight: the Shriram Bhartiya Kala Kendra’s Ramayana, with English subtitles, from Oct 4-13. “What can be a better exposure to Commonwealth delegates than the country’s best known epic?” asks the Kendra’s Shobha Deepak Singh.
