Cong leader from Vijayawada to join movement to keep AP one

Congress MP from Vijayawada, L Rajagopal, who has resigned his Lok Sabha seat, today said that he will join the movement for keeping Andhra Pradesh united and against creation of Telangana.

Congress MP from Vijayawada, L Rajagopal, who has resigned his Lok Sabha seat, today said that he will join the movement for keeping Andhra Pradesh united and against creation of Telangana.

He told a press conference here that all the Telugu- speaking areas of Andhra Pradesh, including Telangana, were one and they were unified from the erstwhile Madras and Hyderabad states on the basis of language.

"Therefore, they should remain one and should not weaken themselves by losing their bargaining power in a federal system," Rajagopal said.
