This was decided at the first meeting of the recently constituted panel of Congress leaders who have been authorised to speak on TV channels.
Senior general secretary Janardan Dwivedi chaired the meeting at 15, Rakabganj Road, popularly known as Congress War Room, to discuss the strategy to be adopted in the electronic media in the run up to the next general elections.
The leaders were told that there was no reason for them to be defensive on any issue and they should go well prepared and do proper homework about the topics of discussion.
Apart from the regular spokespersons, the 36-member panel comprises of union ministers and young leaders who would be given the media exposure. They leaders were also asked to extensively use social media platforms, including twitter and facebook, to put across the party views on important issues.
