Even as the ANL officials claimed that police arrived late by at least an hour — something that helped the mob to take law in their hands, — the cops denied the allegation.

Vijay Verma, head of ANL’s finance department, said, “A PCR van arrived within minutes of the incident and rushed one injured out of the unit. But other police officials came only an hour later.”
However, PCR van sub-inspector Anar Singh denied the allegation. “We reached there within minutes as we were posted at a nearby road. When we reached gate number 1, the company officials did not open the gates and allow us inside. Later, we barged inside and managed to take away one injured worker,” Singh said.
The PCR van cops later informed the control room over wireless and asked them for more enforcement force. “Our full enforcement force arrived within 10-15 minutes after the incident was reported to us.”
