While the former is part of an ongoing campaign of the party and its allies to corner the government, the latter will mark its attempt to reemploy hardcore Hindutva to polarise the state, where it is not doing too well in the absence of the AGP, its ally during the Lok Sabha polls.

This comes at a time when there is a wide, perhaps premature, perception — particularly after the BJP’s “mature” Ram Janmabhumi judgement reaction — that the party has left hard Hindutva in favour of a more liberal discourse. The meet will end with a rally focusing, among other things, on “UPA corruption”.

After an NDA meeting on Thursday in New Delhi against “UPA corruption”, BJP leader Arun Jaitley said a memo had been sent to the Prime Minister demanding action against corruption and black money stashed abroad.

On Friday, a day before the national resolutions are presented and adopted, office bearers of all state units will present their reports in Guwahati on the progress of membership drives in the states and updates on rallied being held against “UPA corruption” in the states.
