Court issues notice to IO on complaint against Dikshit

A Delhi court on Wednesday ordered that notice be issued to Delhi Police’s investigating officer (IO) on a complaint against CM Sheila Dikshit and others for alleged large-scale corruption during CWG.

A Delhi court on Wednesday ordered that notice be issued to Delhi Police’s investigating officer (IO) on a complaint against CM Sheila Dikshit and others for alleged large-scale corruption during CWG.

The matter pertains to a complaint filed by RTI activist Vivek Garg through advocate Hari Om Gupta against Dikshit, PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan and former disgraced CWG OC chairman Suresh Kalmadi for alleged corruption in CWG-related projects. The matter will come up for hearing on April 10.

Earlier, the court had asked the police to file a query-wise reply on whether any cognisable offence was found in the complaint and if any action was taken in this regard. The police had then in its status report said, "As the matters related to CWG are already being investigated by CBI, all the complaints have been sent to CBI..."
