A Delhi court has pulled up an assistant commissioner of police for his failure to complete a probe in time against six officials in a corruption case, which resulted in them getting bail.

Special judge BR Kedia ordered that a copy of his order be sent to the Directorate of Vigilance, Anti-Corruption Branch of the Delhi government and the additional commissioner of police “for doing the needful” against the investigating officer, ACP Sahdev Singh, “to ensure effective and efficient investigation concerning this case”.
Kedia, who was forced to grant bail to accused officials Attar Singh, Sunil Jain and Shyam Sunder on April 17, said: “I am constrained to grant statutory bail to these three accused persons only because of the blessings in disguise showered upon them by this IO, ACP Sahdev Singh.”
