Seven persons allegedly involved in illegal cow slaughtering were arrested in south Delhi with around 650 kg of meat on Friday, police said.
"The arrested have been identified as Abu-zar (32), Mohd Rahis (33), Mohd Zakir (38), Naushad (36), Kamil (28), Faisal (21) and Kaleem (32).

The arrests came yesterday following MCD Veterinary Officer VK Singh and senior Delhi government official HC Dandotia informing police about a gang travelling with meat through Defence Colony," said a senior police officer.
