With buses having to travel an extra two kilometres because of the new traffic plan, drivers avoid going below the Shankar Chowk flyover, from where a left turn has become mandatory to facilitate vehicles going towards Cyber City.

As a result, passengers are forced to get down either ahead of Shankar Chowk flyover or at the end of it.

“Before the new traffic plan was introduced, we used to go below the flyover and pick passengers. But the new plan

forces us to take a compulsory left from Shankar Chowk, go to Cyber City and then came back on the Gurgaon Expressway. In all, we have to travel an extra distance of two kilometre,” said a DTC driver who doesn't wish to be named.

The worst affected are passengers waiting to board the bus from Cyber City. “We have no option but to take a three-wheeler as buses don't come here anymore. The authority should do something as at times we have to wait for an hour to get any mode of transport,” said Sulabh Singh, a passenger.

According to the route plan, implemented to decongest the office hub, traffic coming from Delhi cannot go straight from under the Shankar Chowk flyover but have to take a compulsory left towards Cyber City.
