After BJP's Jaswant Singh's statement on Wednesday seeking clarification on why Reddy was shifted, CPI veteran Gurudas Dasgupta shot a letter to the PM on Thursday alleging corporate influence on cabinet reshuffle.

"I am raising a specific question that Reliance Industries Ltd had a role in the removal of petroleum minister Jaipal Reddy," Dasgupta wrote in a letter. Reddy was shifted to the ministry of science and technology and Earth

Sciences in the cabinet reshuffle last week.
