If allowed to operate, the hotels in the Aerocity will not be able to promise a view of the airport to its guests.

After recommending installing bulletproof glasses in hotel windows and several other security measures, the security agencies have now proposed to construct a boundary wall around the airport side of the hospitality district.

Though the height and width of the wall has not been decided yet, sources claimed it will be high enough to block the view of the airport from the hotel rooms.

Following uproar over the security threat it will pose once operational, a committee was formed to assess the security implications of the hospitality district.

Representatives from the Delhi Police, Airports Authority of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Central Industrial Security Force and Bureau for Civil Aviation Security had gone to observe security arrangements at foreign airports. They have suggested constructing a boundary wall.

As per rules, airport boundary wall should be eight-feet high. A tunnel road separates the airport boundary wall and hospitality district and if the proposal is approved, the guests will have to use Mahipalpur Road or NH8 to reach the Aerocity.

In July 2011, the Delhi Police had raised objection regarding the construction of hotels. The police had conducted a security audit and found that once constructed, Aerocity would be a security hazard due to its proximity to the runway.
