The entire premises of the Parliament House was thoroughly searched and checked but no suspicious vehicle or explosive items were recovered. The paramilitary forces officials and guards deployed to protect the vital installation were also pressed into action.
After a two-long-hour combing operation, police declared the PCR call to be hoax. Meanwhile, the identity of the caller was established as Rakesh, a resident of Jyoti Nagar in northeast Delhi.
